The Deep depression over Bay of Bengal i.e., cyclone Phethai is expected to cross between Ongole and Kakinda  on Monday as per reports from Indian Meterology Department.

IMD issues high alert on 14 mandals of Andra Preadesh and Yellow warning signal has been issued due to cyclone phethai. An estimation of about 5.9 lakhs of people to be troubled by phethai.

Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Chandra Babu Naidu has conducted review meeting regarding cyclone Phethai. CM Chandra Babu Naidu has guided the district collectors of West & East Godavari, Vishakapatanam, Guntur, Prakasam, Krishna on what action plan is to be implemented over phethai.

NDRF and SDRF teams have been deployed to the terrified districts. Fisher mens are prohibited from entering into the sea.

When warm climate mixes with the hot climate, circular spin is caused because of in difference in moisture, it is the way of forming the cyclones.

Indian Meterology Department decides the names  of the cyclones that are occurring in North Indian ocean, Arabian sea and Bay of Bengal.

However naming of cyclones are predetermined by the countries sharing the north Indian ocean - India, Oman,Pakistan, Bangladesh, Maldives, Myanmar,  Thailand and Srilanka
