| Heart Attack |
In the recent years, various studies have shown us that, the
number of Heart attacks and Hearth related issues are enormously more in winter
when compared to the other seasons.
Mortality rate due to heart related issues increases by 50%
in winter season. In fact, winter season is the most vulnerable time for
patients having a background history of heart diseases.
The true reason for the increase in heart-related issues in
winter season could be the rise in Blood Pressure (BP). The arteries become
constricted due to which the heart must put more efforts to pump the blood. On the
other side, Shorter and Cooler Days spent indoors may take a person to become
lethargic and lead to a type of depression known as Seasonal Affective disorder
(SAD), this can also be a high risk
factor for heart related problems.
